The world's first and only Dachshund Museum in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Regensburg delights guests from all over the world. A charmingly staged exhibition with thousands of exhibits from the world's largest collection with over 10,000 dachshund objects.
A must for all those who cannot resist the legendary dachshund look!
Probably no other dog is as well known around the globe as the dachshund. 100 years of the Free State of Bavaria, the dachshund in the aristocracy or the dachshund in hunting are among the focal points, as is the 1972 Olympic dachshund "Waldi".
The museum is located directly in the heart of the old town. The collection was compiled by the two Passau master florists Seppi Küblbeck and Oliver Storz over 25 years and is being shown to visitors publicly for the first time. Many of the exhibits are lovingly presented in showcases, with a wink and a lot of feeling for the dachshund, which represents Bavaria like no other.
