Sinners, plagues, salvation

In the Middle Ages, it was by no means difficult to sin: according to the church, a thoughtless word or an immoral thought was enough. It is therefore not surprising that people perceived natural disasters such as floods or epidemics such as leprosy as punishments from God for their sinful existence. Whether rich merchant or poor pilgrim - everyone feared purgatory and hell. We illuminate the constraints of earthly life and with what ingenuity people circumvented them.

Classic city tour

Patricians and burghers, bishops and craftsmen, demons and saints shaped the city's history. The tour focuses on the Middle Ages, as all the major sights of the city date back to this period. We show the guests such imposing buildings as the Cathedral, the Old Town Hall and the Golden Tower, as well as the main squares of the city, such as Haidplatz and Neupfarrplatz. We also guide the groups through the romantic little alleys of the old town, such as the Tändler / Kramer alleys.
All the facts we tell during the tour are told from an everyday historical point of view, i.e. an overall picture of the city and its inhabitants in the Middle Ages is drawn in the minds of the spectators.
